Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bruce Innovation LLC (“JobThings,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the JobThings platform at jobs.advisorthings.com (the “Service”), a job board and firm-research tool for the financial advisory industry. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and the account type you choose (candidate, employer, or administrator).
- Profile information. Information you choose to add to your profile, such as your professional credentials, certifications, work history, specialties, location, firm affiliation, and (for candidates) uploaded resumes.
- Employer and firm information. If you represent a firm, information about your firm, job postings you create, and team members you invite.
- Application data. Job applications you submit or receive, including associated messages and status.
- Payment information. If you voluntarily support the Service, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2. Information From Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in or sign up using Google, we request access to a limited set of your Google account information through Google OAuth: your name, your email address, and your basic profile (such as your profile picture). We use this information solely to create and authenticate your JobThings account and to populate your profile.
JobThings’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide or improve the Service, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. You can revoke JobThings’ access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Within the Service.Profile information, job postings, and applications are shared with the other users the feature is intended for — for example, a candidate’s application is visible to the employer who posted the job, and published profiles may be discoverable by firms.
